The Research Symposium “Territorial Organisation” aims new insights and approaches towards sustainable and resilient cities, territories and communities. International contributions discuss a change of paradigms, theories, and methods in and between urban design and planning, territorial governance, circular economy, new entrepreneurship and social innovation.

Organised by the Chair for Territorial Design and Urban Planning of LUH (Prof. Jörg Schröder, Dr. Federica Scaffidi) together with the Department of Architecture of the University of Palermo (Prof. Maurizio Carta, Dr. Annalisa Contato), the symposium involves researchers from the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences of the University of Amsterdam (Prof. Tuna Tasan-Kok), the Circular Economy Research Center CERC of the École des Ponts et Chaussées Paris (Prof. Giorgos Demetriou), the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (Dr Mathilde Marengo), the University Iuav of Venice (Prof. Ezio Micelli), Riccarda Cappeler and Alissa Diesch (LUH), and as special guest Prof. Alessandro Melis from New York Institute of Technology. The participants for the PhD seminar have been selected based on an international open call.
