„The high number of submissions and the outstanding quality of the work presented us with a particular challenge at the jury meeting“, said Robert Marlow, Chairman of the Laves Foundation. The good distribution of the work among the universities in Lower Saxony and the four different disciplines was also particularly pleasing.
Preservation and development, sustainable and circular building, individual design and community potential, formulating visions for the future of the city, open spaces, buildings and society - these aspects were addressed by the students in their work in an impressive manner. In the end, the jury came to the conclusion that five equally awarded works would be more appropriate and would be even more in line with the Laves Foundation's concept.
