The Faculty of Architecture and Landscape at Leibniz Universität Hannover would like to congratulate Prof Herbert Lindinger on his 90th birthday. We remember his services to Leibniz Universität Hannover every day through the logo he designed.
He was a full professor and director of the Institute of Industrial Design at Leibniz Universität Hannover from 1971 to 1998, head of the Department of Architecture, Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering (Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy) in 1976 and Senator of the university from 1981-83.
Prof. Herbert Lindinger, designs in urban, product, vehicle, exhibition, photo and graphic design, has received many awards, was a member of 60 juries, and was active in national and European honorary posts for 25 years. His numerous publications include those on the history of design, on the HfG Ulm, as well as over 200 lectures outside the university. Solo exhibitions in Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Bologna, Milan and over 100 participations worldwide. Lindinger's Stuttgart city railway was part of the "Design in Germany" stamp series from 2017.
